Boarding

Do you need someone to look after your animal family member the next time you have to leave town?

Why not trust the skilled, compassionate team at Summertree? We’ve got all of the services, amenities and perks needed to become your loved one’s home away from home. Our full service boarding includes comfortable accommodations, delicious meals, daily exercise and plenty of TLC from our loving staff members. When you can’t be there to provide your pet with the love and attention he or she deserves, we will!

Our beautiful, spacious pet resort has been designed to accommodate pets of all sizes and provide as comfortable a stay as possible. Your companion will be cared for by a friendly face he or she is already familiar with while you are away.

Resort guests enjoy a number of amenities, including but not limited to:

  • Individual housing
  • Regular exercise
  • Cages are sanitized daily
  • Constant supply of clean, fresh water
  • Clean bedding is provided and changed regularly
  • We can administer any medication or take care of any other special needs

Our boarding facility is equipped to accommodate dogs, cats, birds, small mammals, reptiles and exotics.

For the safety and comfort of our staff and other guests, we require all animals be up to date on all required vaccinations upon arrival. Canine boarders must be current with rabies, bordetella, distemper/parvo, leptospirosis, and influenza status and have a negative fecal within past 6 months. Cats are required to be current on rabies and FVRCP vaccination with a negative fecal in the past 12 months. Reptiles and small mammals must have had a negative fecal test within the past 12 months. All boarders must also be free of any parasites.

Birds require negative psittacosis, an avian profile (for birds more than 70 grams) and a negative fecal, all within the past 12 months. African greys, eclectus, cockatoos and lovebirds must have a negative beak and feather disease test on file within their lifetime. Due to psittacosis being highly communicable to other birds and humans, the negative result is required before the bird will be able to board in our facility. Unfortunately we will not be able to accommodate birds without this negative result.

Should you need any of these things taken care of, simply give us a call in advance of your pet’s scheduled stay. We can get your loved one prepared for a safe, healthy and fun visit with us! Bird parents, keep in mind that psittacosis test results can take up to 2 weeks, so please allow sufficient time for this prior to boarding.

If you’d like a tour of our pet resort, just ask! We’d be happy to show you around!
