Fluffy’s Top New Year’s Resolutions

Happy New Year! Today, many people are focused on setting new goals for themselves. If you have a kitty, your feline pal will no doubt be watching you closely—perhaps with that adorable smug look cats are so good at—as you strive to meet your new goals. But what about Fluffy? If your kitty could make resolutions, what do you think would make her list? Read on as a North Dallas, TX vet lists some things that may make your kitty’s 2019 to-do list.

Improve Sprinting Time

Have you ever dropped a kitchen pan when your furball was nearby? Chances are, Fluffy raced out of the room at top kitty speed. Your pet may want to shave a few seconds off her sprinting time this year!

Train The Humans

Does your kitty have you trained to feed her whenever she sits at her bowl and meows? Does Fluffy wake you up when she wants breakfast? If your feline buddy hasn’t got you completely wrapped around those little paws of hers yet, she may very well plan to work on that this year.

Purrfect My Pounce

Your kitty may be a pampered house pet, but she is truly a tiny little lion at heart. Cats are fierce predators in the wild, and are instinctively drawn to pouncing and jumping on things. Fluffy may very well want to work on her hunting skills this year. (The fact that your ferocious little furball may be ‘hunting’ a bottle cap or a toy mouse is beside the point.)

Get More Lap Time

Kitties are very cuddly and lovable, and often love to snooze on their human’s laps. Your cat may want to spend more time snuggling with you in 2019.

Catch The Red Dot

Speaking of hunting, our feline friends have been trying to catch that mysterious red dot for years. Maybe 2019 will be the year Fluffy actually captures her elusive prey!

Get More Sleep

Our sleepy feline companions are always trying to improve their previous napping records. Senior kitties are absolute napping masters, and are capable of sleeping up to 20 hours a day. Fluffy may very well try to beat her 2018 record.
